Mime is a performance art, involving the acting out of a story by a mime artist through body motions, without use of speech. In this mime group that im a part of ….we looked the same during the show but in reality every character is so distinct and interesting that I am overwhelmed to write about them.

Akshay (a.k.a Patty :D) : This fellow is the king of king of PJs. Some really tickling ones and some...dont even talk abt thm. :) A daredevil in the true sense. Will go to any extend to show how daring he is ..lol. Catches any tiny grammatical mistake u make. So beware. Get your grammar right before talking in front of him. A gentle man to all the ladies around him whether they like it or not(no offense friend).He s a pure monkey too. Leave him alone near a tree and u will see what im talkin about. Thanks to him and we had laughed for quite a while every where we went.(I hope everyone agrees)
Amruta G(a.k.a Amz/_ _ _ _) : She is an innovative, ambitious, fun-loving and a great friend. A bol bachhan in the true sense. If she says "mi tula handnar ahe " it means nothing if u act that ure scared. Else she’ll give u one or two blows to keep her word. Shows attitude when called amba. She s used to her cool name amz. Extremely friendly and cute. Keeps laughing all the time (reminding us to smile every now and then). The marathi expert of the lot. Such pure Marathi only the peshwas could understand probably!. :) . Thanks to her the atmosphere always remain light and jovial.
Amruta S(a.k.a Ambu) : The one with bubbling enthu. So much enthu that others around her get infected with it. A sincere student, great friend and an enthusiast. Thats only a part of her I could see in a month and a half. SIncere in whatever she says...conveyed with optimal expressions making u feel her mood. And the best part is the kid in her is still as joyful as we were in childhood. Holds ure hand if u walk with her. Thanks to her we were reminded of the
kids in us and the amount of enthu we could actually carry that we worked all night with equal amount of gusto as during day time.
Anuja (a.k.a Anu) : I heard u doubt of you being in the mime team? U very much are. In a show the off stage coordinators are very much a part of the crew. :) She is another friendly gal jellying in the gaps that are left to fill among all of us. Very scared of snakes. shrieks even before seeing them and that too the false ones :). A camera buff. U stand on a road or near a notice board she finds the kodak moment and clicks. She helped a lot off stage during the mime event in finding the right board every time we would mess up. Thanks to her that we could make the show satisfying for us atleast and the kodak moments that’s goin to remind us of these days.
Arihant (a.k.a Ari) : Another quite one. Not because he is an introvert but because he s scared of makin a fool of himself in front of the marathi- majority crowd.(Don’t u know im a target now. U could give me company!;)) A good friend and a chupa rustam pj-cracker. An old friend of mine. One of the strictest vegetarians i know. Very reliable person as far as his help is concerned. Thanks to him we could rest assured that we had the number of people we needed till the end and hindi was still in use in the group J.
Ashwini (a.k.a Ash/Ashu) : Thats me! Im not used to talkin abt myself so leaving it to my friends.
Aviratna (a.k.a Avi/John (still a mystery y they call him that)/shaitu): I mistook him for being shy but no. He s just camera conscious and has some stage fear. His profile says he s a scholar. Dint knw of him earlier probably becoz of his modesty. Probably loves to go incognito yet be with his friends. Gets conscious very soon. Sensitive to comments.[:)] If you catch him in middle of a secret conversation with his friend....he panics and tries to make up an excuse and he s good at it. Unlike many violence-loving guys guys he hates the violent movies like saw. Thank god someone begs to differ. Because of his quite-nature could only make out dat he s those quite ones with an interest in life as much as an extrovert. Thanks to him we knew we had to be sensitive enough to take the entire team, with us and also for the lovely photographs he took jus like a professional! (trying his best to stay away from camera)
Nakul (a.k.a Nakya/mama) : Calls me a good actor but doesnt know wat amusing expressions he gives when truly expressin something. A friendly and jovial fella. Points out the mistakes in your pronunciations of the Marathi words but himself has a weird accent.:) (im sure nobody told u abt this) . Doesn’t own up even if caught red-handed( referring to the truths abt u that came out lol) He s got a good sense of humour and a smiling face ever that lifts ure spirits come wat may. Very punctual. Just a missed call away :)...Thanks to him we understand wat punctuality meant and thats why called him the last everytimne during practices.
Pallavi (a.k.a Pal...she s just like her name/pallu) : A very cute and charming friend to everyone. I came to know so many lovely people all because of her. Amazing how she manages her time with such a huge friend list she has. Another enthusiast. When she and ambu come together they can bring life into anything. :) (ya exagerating but dunno wat other way to experss wat i feel). Extremely polite, accomodating and adjusting. Comes up with ideas and accomodates others' too. U wanna know more about anyone of these gotta ask her except herself ...ufcrs u need special permissions for that. Thanks to her. coz without her n ambu we would not have known so many enthu ppl like dem and this (mime) would not have been possible.
Priyanka (a.k.a Pree): A Connoisseur of arts. An amazing Bharatnatyam Dancer. Has a lovely smile. Very photogenic and a good actor too. An essential part of the art circle. Had our mime tested by her friend in art circle and got us necessary tips. Very cooperative and a multi tasker. Has a very rational outlook and thus spots the lacunae’s in our plans effortlessly. Catches words frequently used by her art circle and uses them so often that they have become her patented words. Few of them "Ekk NNumber" "BHHHari" :) Crazy enough like us to run to the terrace when it rains for the first time and sit on the swing made for 12yrs and below. Expert at calligraphy. Can fool any handwriting analyst into thinking high of her J. A pj lover. very cooperative and coordinates activities very well. Thanks to her that she coordinated, informed and bought us all together that we all were determined till the end to have fun and present our mime in the "not-so-satisfied" audience.
Priyanka (a.k.a Google) : She could not be with us through out due to some reasons. But nevertheless another reliable person who stayed till the end. And end means just before the show we explained to her the actions she was to do. And though apprehensive of the outcome she supported and did her part to her best. three cheers to you google. :) an old friend of mine. Thanks for being there.
Rahul (a.k.a pandhra wagh): A great comic actor with a photogenic face. Gives loud expressions that would convey the message completely and in one look.U don’t need to tell him what he needs to do, he comes out with innovative ideas to fit the situation. Pretends to hate Pjs but yet he wants to know all that were cracked and also laughs at them simultaneously ridiculing them. Holds his opinion yet ready to adjust. Frank enough to let us understand wat he has to say. Almost as punctual as nakul J Thanks to him we had a lovely time acting with him with his added contributions.
Sumant ...(a.k.a kucks): This one is the soft-hearted and silent temporary sponsorer of the group. So silent that I everytime mistake the one speaking for him to have paid the bills(sorry abt dat).He hates walking. Ready to sit anywhere in order to rest his legs. Be it a milestone near the road or the edge of a footpath(teasing one last time). J Sees some really weird movies. He he (ufcrs im joking). Comes out with some freaky ideas(“Na bika ek offer letter na hui training aadhi!”). Thanks to him we never had confusions with money issues and his freaky ideas gave some more reasons to laugh.
Zarin (a.k.a Zenu/Zar): She too has a kid in her. She has trained it to be a sophisticated kid. Every thing she does, she ensures its marked with sophistication. Infact even gola she eats only when the juice is out and the ice crumbles in order to avoid the unsophisticated slurring sound. :P But very smart to grasp what’s thrown at her. Opinionated but flexible to accommodate whats proved right. Loves talking endlessly. A believer of simple living and high thinking. Very friendly and never brings ego in the middle when it comes to friends. Thanks to her we had some sophistication in the mime and also for the community u started off without delay. Now there are hopes to stay connected even we after we are out of pict.
Special thanks to Deepak (an old friend) who introduced me to enthusiasts like pallu and ambu and Devesh (an amazing flute player) to help us during the 11th hour on the day of addiction.
All these characters are very distinct as you see yet so alike. Alike that is all are down to earth, free of attitude, nature-lovers, fun lovers and so full of enthu. So much that we wish to meet and spend the last few days in college hanging around "apli Pune" !

Just the way i feel when i start fresh with dreams reloaded....and ufcrs now that its time to step out of college with expectations and apprehensions to pick up wat comes my way with the same, rather more zest as in the yesteryears with an optimists outlook and a childs interest.(watever that means)...i love these lines....
