Using volition to change the future...

Excited and eager; this time not because I was going home but because it was Election time and I was eligible to vote. Vote and contribute. To vote and be responsible for the fate of mine and the others. To make use of the only way to mak a difference. To finally act and change what we complained; change that angered us.
To prove that those complaints were not an impulse of indigence but the birth of passion to change the situation.

An amazing sense of excitement as if I was to be a part of Rang de basanti for a moment. A wow to never give those flattering bastards a chance to rule and exploit. A pride of being a part of a democratic nation.

I was on the lookout for a set of characteristics that were kiddish yet reasonable. Discussed with a couple of politics followers, and some learned people.
A couple of questions that came up were : age, education, assets, parties and their unsuitable candidates..n so on. Internet was a great help. The biggest question was whether to choose the party or the candidate. But in the end it was the party as in India , number of heads matter.

After a lot of dilly dallying, arguments, came to a conclusion of whom to bet my choice on.There was immense pleasure in voting and waiting for the outcome.
I believe that even one vote can change our future and we must use this control judiciously no matter how tiny we might appear compared to the masses.
