Do you remember the feeling you get when as a kid you were not allowed to play and all your friends would have tried calling you?

Watching teary eyed out the window with tiny eyes at friends playing the most exciting game of hide and seek.Not allowed to go down to play because home work is not completed or school arranged a silly test the next day such that only this kid is stuck.Have you had this feeling ever ? Well, I did...but that was twelve years back and after that this weekend.



A friend was back in town after three years and we had planned a get-together. So extensively planned events hardly get any last minute changes..but this time there was! The all excited me; never got chance to get out of the house. The moment I got off the train to Bombay, I was having a temperature of more that 102 degrees. Tried ignoring, distracting myself,..but how far could I run away from myself...I had to face it. I was flat on the bed as soon as I reached.

The next 48 hours I was the mermaid of the bed;now that it was known I had caught viral fever. No walking, talking and aware of each of the 102 bones, coz most of the joints were hurting. Just sleeping , rolling, re planning trying to make it possible to catch up some or the other way. And of course messaging.The weakness and the rise and fall of the temperatures took out all the energy and water out of me ...Felt like a pig ... (No connection with swine flu there :))

Recovered now,I wish if-only weekends were longer, or may be only this one... or may be I could go back in time and not have missed the rest of ma friends who enjoyed meeting after such a huge gap. But wish list never ends.lesson re-learnt; without health nothing is useful.Not money, and not even plans :).
